For Everyone Else
You don’t need to be a developer to use Daedalus. Here’s what it looks like for everyone else.
What you’ll get
Section titled “What you’ll get”When the web interface launches (Phase 2), you’ll be able to:
- Chat with an AI that remembers your preferences and past conversations
- Write papers, reports, and documents with an AI that learns your style
- Research topics with an AI that builds on what you’ve already learned together
- Create specifications for projects through guided conversation — no markdown knowledge needed
- Use voice to talk to Daedalus hands-free (Phase 3)
How it’s different from ChatGPT
Section titled “How it’s different from ChatGPT”ChatGPT is a great tool, but every conversation starts fresh. Daedalus builds a relationship over time:
- It remembers what you’ve taught it
- It adapts to how you communicate
- It runs on your terms — locally, on shared community hardware, or in the cloud
- Your data stays yours
For students
Section titled “For students”Your university can host a Daedalus node that all students share. No per-student cloud costs, no data leaving campus, and an AI that grows with you through your studies.
For local businesses
Section titled “For local businesses”Imagine AI-powered services for your community — food delivery, customer support, inventory management — running on shared local infrastructure instead of paying big tech platforms a cut of every transaction.
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”The web interface is coming in Phase 2. For now, if you’re curious, ask a developer friend to set up the API server and you can try it via the chat endpoint. Or just watch this space — we’ll have a one-click install soon.
